At FLASH we seek to build an online community of writers, artists, arts interested general public and others who wish to contribute to advancing the discussion, criticism, review and debate surrounding photo-media in Australia.
With this goal in mind, we hope to bring a diverse range of perspectives and voices into this site. However we will decline to publish unacceptable comments, and will remove unacceptable content if we find it on this site.
Unacceptable content includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Statements that are intended as a personal attack or are abusive, harassing, or threatening
- Comments that are libellous, false, defamatory, offensive, obscene or pornographic, abusive, off-topic, use excessive foul language etc.
- Information of a private or personal nature that does not have relevant value
- Irrelevant statements or spam, ie advertising, promotion of products or services, or posting of irrelevant or unacceptable web links (URLs).
- Materials that violate the copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights of others that are not otherwise authorised by law, such as fair use.
FLASH editorial staff will determine what is ‘unacceptable content’ on a case-by-case basis. FLASH reserves the right to review, edit, refuse or delete any comment. We reserve the right to change these standards at any time.
If you want to comment on a review or interview, please bear in mind these basic guidelines. They are designed to protect you and other users of the site.
Breaking any of the guidelines could lead to legal action being taken against you by the authorities or an aggrieved party. In extreme cases, FLASH could be legally obliged to reveal your IP address to the authorities.
Thank you for joining the discussion.
