CCP Documentary Photography Award

NATIONAL CALL FOR ENTRIES

Documentary photographers, photojournalists and artists working in a documentary style are invited to submit their work for a chance to win the $5,000 Copyright Agency Limited Prize.

The seventh biennial CCP Documentary Photography Award presents a survey of the best contemporary Australian documentary photography in series format. The Award is open to established and aspiring photographers using both analogue and digital cameras, however no digital alteration of the content of photographs is permitted.

Approximately ten finalists will be selected for exhibition at Centre for Contemporary Photography from 7 August to 26 September 2009, and subsequent national tour until 2011. The winner of the $5,000 Copyright Agency Limited Prize will be announced at the opening of the exhibition at CCP on Thursday 6 August 2009.

The judges in 2009 are Naomi Cass, Director, Centre for Contemporary Photography, Stephen Dupont, photographer, and Louise Adler AM, CEO and Publisher-in-Chief, Melbourne University Publishing.
